THE CHOICE BETWEEN ILLUSION & EMBRACING REALITY

BACKGROUND:
Based upon one of the most iconic movie scenes from within film
history “THE MATRIX”. Within this film it features possibly one of
the most iconic 50/50 choices ever made. Within the 1999 movie
the character known as MORPHEUS offers the choice of one of two
Items, one red & one blue.
Depending upon the choice made would change the subjects’ future
and perception of the world.

EFFECT:
The performer displays a small chrome box, upon doing so explains
to a spectator that their next choices will change their perceptions
of embracing reality & that of illusion. The performer then opens
the small chrome box where it is seen there is a small folded piece
of paper which is removed and placed in full view. Also within the
case are two small items one red & one blue. The spectator
is invited to take the box containing the two items. They are then
instructed to remove only one & to hide this in either of their
hands. With the box closed and placed off to one side the performer
takes the folded piece of paper and unfolds it whereby it has been
openly predicted not only the choice of which coloured item would
be chosen but also which hand the subject would be holding the
Item…
