Effect

The performer begins by removing an envelope, and removing all of its contents showing a folded photograph which is placed off to one side & a signed letter by Houdini which is placed in full view with.

Next the performer has a spectator read the letter for themselves, of which Houdini requests the reader to imagine an invisible deck. He then explains that the spectator will eliminate all but one of these imaginary cards.

Once the spectator has finished reading the letter from Houdini only a single card is named without any prompting from the performer.

The folded photograph which has been in full view is unfolded to clearly display an image of Houdini himself with the thought of playing card and is revealed to be an exact match to that of the named card.
